History of the Opel Combo
The history of the Opel Combo dates back to 1986. At that time, the first Opel Combo was introduced as a panel van version of the Opel Kadett E. Over the years, the Combo has evolved and is now one of the best-selling models in the Opel business vehicle range.
Opel Combo A (1986-1993)
The first generation, the Opel Combo A, was characterized by an extended body and a larger cargo space than the Opel Kadett E. With its robust construction and practical features, the Combo quickly became popular with commercial and private customers.
Opel Combo B (1993-2001)
The second generation, the Opel Combo B, continued the success. With a new body based on the Opel Corsa B, the Combo B offered more space and flexibility. The Combo B was available both as a panel van and as a station wagon to adapt to the different requirements of customers.
Opel Combo C (2001-2011)
The Opel Combo C once again presented itself as a versatile commercial vehicle and shone with incredible quality and innovative technology. The third generation offered even greater load capacity and improved efficiency. The design became more fashionable and much emphasis was placed on comfort and safety.
Opel Combo D (2011-2018)
The fourth generation, the Opel Combo D, offered more space and even better economy than the previous models. Opel also offered a variant with a long wheelbase for the first time, which made the vehicle even more attractive for commercial customers.
Opel Combo E (since 2018)
The current generation, the Opel Combo E, is a joint venture with Peugeot and Citroen and is based on the Peugeot Partner platform. The Combo E has a modern design and offers state-of-the-art technology and safety features such as the blind spot assistant and the attention assistant. From a simple panel van version of the Opel Kadett E to the versatile, modern commercial vehicle of today, the history of the Combo is a success story. The Combo still stands for efficient transportation and a high level of driving comfort.
